In 2019 I stumbled on a kickstarter campaign for a hackable smartwatch which runs Javascript. This a great thing for a web and backend developer like me. Today this is my every day watch and hacking device. The campaign was started by Gordon Williams, the developer and man behind the Espruino platform. Without any doubt it’s a neat idea to run Javascript on microcontrollers.
And this is what the Espruino platform is about. In this episode I’m talking with Gordon not only about the platform and the ideas behind it, but also about open source business models.
